The term “Fordism” is a term roots from the word ford, one of
the most famous car companies of the 19th century. Well known as its
massive line production building cars in the brand “Ford”. Fordism refers to
mass production, which is a line industrial factory producing the same products
hundreds, thousands and up to a million times and they will look all look the
same, have the same quality and even size the same as well.
“Post Fordism” is similar to the term “Fordism” but in a higher
level, kind of an upgraded version. The Post Fordism create things in a more
specific way. They produce the products that fits to the customers more, like a
custom made product. Due to these abilities the Post Fordism allows the
building to gain its own uniqueness identity.
Parametricism is style that uses the ability of technology much
more than Fordism and Post Fordism. Parametricism uses more advance programs
and methods to create the shape and form of the buildings.
