19th Century Architecture

Fallowing the Renaissance period is the 19th century architecture period. An era of developing, mixing and combining different elements from the past together. This era turns out to be chaotic in terms of designing, its also known as the era of the rich. By studying form the past the architects in this time combine, adapt and develop style and techniques from the thing that have already been existed.

The industrialization in this period is growing very fast and strong, this allows the architects to use new materials. Like steel and glass in their design. The architecture can somehow gain economical profits for the owners as well, that is why most of the design is trying to give high class, noble appearance to the public.

In my opinion this are is not fully developed. It is still lack of organization and everybody is doing their own work. So this period of time doesn’t quite have it’s own specific identity and the style of itself, but this era will grow faster and stronger in the future and gain big success.

Repost Fordism and Parametricism

The term “Fordism” is a term roots from the word ford, one of the most famous car companies of the 19th century. Well known as its massive line production building cars in the brand “Ford”. Fordism refers to mass production, which is a line industrial factory producing the same products hundreds, thousands and up to a million times and they will look all look the same, have the same quality and even size the same as well.

“Post Fordism” is similar to the term “Fordism” but in a higher level, kind of an upgraded version. The Post Fordism create things in a more specific way. They produce the products that fits to the customers more, like a custom made product. Due to these abilities the Post Fordism allows the building to gain its own uniqueness identity.

Parametricism is style that uses the ability of technology much more than Fordism and Post Fordism. Parametricism uses more advance programs and methods to create the shape and form of the buildings.

Repost Early Renaissance

Renaissance is one of the greatest era in architectural periods. An era of “re-birth” as we know. The early Renaissance period contains the style of “humanism”, which is the study of applying the human scale, believing that the humanity was the measurement of all. It was influenced from the ancient Romans method, by using geometry forms and measurements. This method allows the architects to use the form of simple geometry shapes and forms in their design, turning it symmetrically, and well proportion by using the method of “humanism”. By developing the method of humanism from the ancient Romans this allows the people in the Renaissance era to understand more about proportions and create great compositions. A great start leads this era to become a one of the greatest era of architecture and art periods of our time.
